It’s “PUP-tober” at Safe Haven Dog Rescue! Check out all these “BOO-tiful” pups looking for their forever families:
Lucy - Hi, my name is Lucy and I am about 12 weeks old. I was so lucky to be fostered with my sister and a family with three other dogs (all rescues themselves), children, and a cat (she doesn’t pay me much attention and I’m not very interested in her).
When I came up my whole litter got sick with something they call Parvo. I felt awful and spent several days in the hospital. They made me all better and now I am back to 100% and ready to be a puppy!

I like to play and I’m very smart. I am working on my potty training, these older dogs are such good role models for me but I still have some accidents. I am pretty smart and have learned a lot from my foster siblings. I sleep well but will let you know when I’m hungry or thirsty. I would love to be anywhere you are because then I feel safe. I love tummy and ear rubs.I will mention that I am adorable and that I will require your attention, but I will make it worth your while!
Lenore - Hi! I'm Lenore. I'm about 12 weeks old. I hitched a ride here from Arkansas with my siblings. I love dogs, people and kids! I live with my foster family, my sister, their 3 dogs and their 11 year old daughter.

I love to play and chase the big dogs! I am doing really good with learning to go potty outside. I might still have an accident, but I really getting there! The big dogs are teaching me how it's done!
I like to play in the yard and run around. My motto is play hard sleep hard and I sleep all night in my crate quietly- my foster mom covers it up and I prefer to sleep with my sister or a stuffed animal and ALWAYS my blanket!
Hi, my name is Nora aka Meatball. I came up to Illinois from Arkansas with my sister when I was about 4 weeks old. I was born around the middle of July, am a Coonhound mix and I most likely will grow to be a large size dog.
I am lucky to be fostered in a house with my sibling and another fun adult dog. I like to play with them and be in on the action. I talk a good game but when they boss me around I usually roll over on my back. I give the other dogs kisses and will kiss you too if you let me. My foster family thinks I am pretty cute especially when I snort sometimes and when I roll over because I lose my balance. They tell me I have the softest ears and coat and always tell me I am such a pretty girl. I have the greatest hound ears and watch out I can sniff out anything!
I sleep all night quietly in my crate, occasionally I wake up in the middle of the night to go potty but then go right back to sleep. I have been doing really good with potty training and even started to go to the back door to go outside. My foster family is always telling me what a good girl I am. I have learned to sit and I always come when I am called, especially if you do a little whistle. If you’re looking for a cute and smart little spitfire, I am excited to meet you!
Phillip AKA Lip - Hi my name is Lip I’m a 12 week old, male, heeler mix that came from Arkansas with my siblings. I am a pretty timid guy but I’m learning to get to know people and love cuddling.
I am very smart and quick to learn. I can walk on a leash really well and have even learned my commands sit and Touch. I’m working on potty training at the moment and am getting the hang of it!
I love playing with toys, especially the soft ones! I sleep in a crate at night and I sleep through the night until my foster mom lets me out in the morning. I love going for long walks, sun bathing, lying in the grass, and running around silly.
