Donna Haas, of Crest Hill, passed away peacefully, at the age of 66, on Wednesday, October 13, 2021. Donna was born on August 14, 1955, the daughter of the late Ben and Angeline (nee Patterson) Shelman. She was raised in Naperville and attended Naperville Central High School.
In her free time, Donna enjoyed sewing, knitting, and had a love for her dogs. Her favorite time was spent with her family, friends and especially her grandkids.

Donna is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, John Haas; two sons, Eric (Leticia) Mays and Adam Mays; her daughter, Stephanie (Jorge) Gamboa; two grandchildren, Daniel and Alyssia Mays; and her two brothers, Rick Shelman and Ken Shelman.
She is preceded by her parents.
A Memorial Gathering for Donna Haas will be held from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Saturday, November 6, 2021, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.), Joliet, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to the Will County Humane Society, 24109 Seil Rd, Shorewood, IL 60404, would be appreciated.
