Mary was born in Joliet, IL, on March 28, 1948, a daughter of the late Irma (Largaiolli) Bertolini Chiappino and Luigi Bertolini.She passed away peacefully, comforted by family and friends, Thursday evening, March 12, 2026, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, Illinois.

She is survived by her sons, Carl Guerrero and Pete Figueroa; grandson, Matthew Figueroa; two brothers, Dr. Jerry Bertolini and Ed Bertolini, as well as her nephews and niece, Nick, Michael, Andrea and Louie Bertolini. Dear friends, Oscar Martinez and Manuel Cita, and friends, too numerous to mention.She truly will be missed by many.

Mary is preceded in death by her son, Tony; grandson Zachary; nephew, Luke; niece, Julie; sister-in-law, Linda Bertolini and her father, Luigi Bertolini; mother Irma and step-father, Carlo Chiappino.

A Memorial Gathering for Mary will be Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200 Black Rd. (at Essington Rd.) Joliet.A service of remembrance will conclude the evening, beginning at 7:00 p.m., with Pastor Sal Guerrero officiating. As it was Mary's request, cremation rites have been accorded.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mary's name can be made to the Seed of Life Church, 21514 Division Street, Lockport, IL, 60441.
