Robert Thomas Beebe, Sr., age 87 of Shorewood, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 8, 2025, at StoryPoint Assisted Living in Romeoville, IL.

Born on April 8, 1938, in Chicago, IL, Robert was the son of proud parents, Iola Mary (nee Nolan) and Frances Beebe. He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.
Robert served his country with honor as a member of the United States Marine Corps, a chapter of his life that he held with deep pride. His military service was a testament to his unwavering dedication to country and community.

In both his professional and personal life, Robert's commitment never wavered. He dedicated 31 years of service in his career as a Pipe Fitter with Union local 597, demonstrating reliability and excellence in all that he did. He was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
Robert is survived by his three children, Robert (Mary) Beebe, Jr. of Crest Hill, IL, Barbara (Walter) Ris of Berwyn, IL, and William (Carmen) Beebe of Romeoville, IL; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Trisha, James, Darlene, Holly, and Jonathan; eight great grandchildren; and brother, George (Elaine) Beebe
Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Georgiana (nee Ketter) Beebe in 2020.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation for Robert Beebe Sr. will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home, 3200Black Rd., Joliet, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. As it was his request, cremation rites will be accorded.
