How do we process unimaginable betrayal? How do we overcome the kind of events that forever alter the trajectory of a life we so desperately want back? These are just two of the questions addressed by Christian Petzold’s masterful “Phoenix” (PG-13/98 min), a film that firmly cements its director as one of the most impressive working today.

In addition, the AHFS will present “Meet the Patels” at the Ogden 6 at on Monday, Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $6 for students and $10 for adults. “Meet the Patels” (PG/88 min) is a documentary both directed by and starring brother and sister duo Ravi and Geeta Patel, as well as their incredibly charismatic parents. The dynamic of this colorful family of four is instantly on display, and it’s impossible not to be drawn in to their story.
