Parade, Food, Music, Fireworks: India Day Celebration In Naperville

Officials expect thousands of people will once again attend the 2023 India Day Parade and Celebration in Naperville.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Live music, dancing, regional cuisine and other delights are set to dazzle visitors to the 2023 India Day Parade and Celebration, which is lined up for Sunday in Naperville. The free event will kick off with a parade and the festivities will held in Rotary Hill Park from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The parade will step off from Naperville North High School and travel a mile throughout the city.

Beloved performer Shankar Mahadevan is set to headline performances that will continue from afternoon into the late evening on two stages. The main stage entertainment schedule is as follows:

1:30 p.m.: Dance competition

3:30 p.m.: Live singing from Vivek Agrawal and Madhuri Patibanda

4:30 p.m.: DJ Sajan Vadali

6 p.m.: Shankar Mahadevan

There will also be a fashion show, performances from local artists and activities for kids.

Visitors can indulge in Indian cuisine offered by several food vendors and shop a bazaar featuring clothing, accessories and other items for purchase.

This year marks the ninth installment of Naperville's annual India Festival, which commemorates the anniversary of India gaining its independence from the United Kingdom in 1947.
