Picnic With Your Pup Or A Shelter Dog At Naperville Event

If you don't have a dog, you can pay $10 to picnic with a shelter pet.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Dog lovers and their pups can enjoy the summer-like weather a little longer at an upcoming picnic for dogs and their owners on Sept. 28. If you don't have a dog of your own to picnic with, you can "rent" a shelter pet at the event,which will be held at Wag 'N Paddle, 1847 W. Jefferson, Naperville.

Those who attend are encouraged to bring their own blankets and chairs, so they can sit comfortably and nosh on snacks from a variety of food truck vendors. Local shelters will be on hand with dogs for those who don't have pups and to answer any questions about pet adoption.

Dog grooming and training vendors will be on hand to offer their services throughout the event. Pet CPR classes will also be available.
