Winfield Couple, Son Sustained 'Multiple Sharp Force Injuries'
The victims were identified as a couple in their 70s and their 50-year-old son.

WINFIELD, IL — An elderly couple and a man who were found dead in their Winfield home Monday sustained "multiple sharp force wounds," according to the DuPage County Coroner. The victims have been identified as Nancy Clinkenbeard, 77, Clyde Clinkenbeard, 76, and Karl Clinkenbeard, 50.
Winfield Police Chief David Schar said in a press release Tuesday that "no suspect is currently being sought" in connection with the deaths.
The victims were discovered early Monday morning by a neighbor in the 500 block of Jefferson Street after the family's dog had been left out barking all night, according to WBBM News Radio. Police say the victims appeared to have been injured.

The neighbor said she tried ringing the doorbell and knocking on the door, but no one answered.
Winfield Police and the coroner's office are currently conducting ongonig investigations to determine the cause and manner of the family's death, but police say the incident is "specific to [the victims'] address."

Neighbors told ABC that Clyde and Nancy Clinkenbeard were both retired from Community Unit School District 200, according to ABC.
The Winfield Police Department is working with the DuPage County Coroner's Office on the ongoing investigation.
