Police Will Be at Neuqua Valley High Friday for Safety After Bomb Threat on Thursday

The threat was not believed to be credible but the school was searched twice and events cancelled.

Police will be at Neuqua Valley High School on Friday morning after an emailed bomb threat on Thursday afternoon prompted the cancellation of all after-school activities. The principal sent a message blast to parents Thursday.

“Please know that neither the police nor school officials believe this to be a viable threat,” Principal Bob McBride said. “Nonetheless, in order to be as cautious as possible, both campuses are being thoroughly searched twice this evening, prior to the start of school on Friday.”

A volleyball match was moved to Benet Academy in Lisle and a band concert was cancelled.
