Pooches Get Pampered With 3 Indoor Pools, Park In Naperville
Dogs can get exercise in and out of the water year-round at this dog park and training facility.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A stroll along the Naperville Riverwalk is one way to entertain your pooch, but Naperville's newest spot for dog care — and comfort — has all the trimmings of a five-star resort. Wag N' Paddle, which is set to open in late August at 1847 W. Jefferson, has three indoor pools and an indoor park that spans nearly 9,000 square feet.
Wag N' Paddle was founded by a local family of five (seven if you count their two dogs) who were looking for a way to keep their four-legged pals entertained year-round. The facility's climate-controlled dog park helps solve that problem by giving dog-owners a place where their pets can burn off energy no matter what the weather is like outside.
Equipped with antimicrobial flooring, the indoor park has climbing ramps and treelike tunnels that help build agility and endurance. Pups can play with other dogs at the park, but capacity is limited to 30 dogs at a time to keep conditions safe for pets.

Pooches can play alongside animal trainers in Wag N' Paddle's three indoor pools. According to the Wag N' Paddle website, the pools are kept clean with "a saltwater chlorinator system" and bacteria-zapping ozone. One of the pools is kept at a higher temperature of between 88 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit to help calm dogs who are prone to anxiety or older dogs who want to take a relaxing dip.
In order to use the indoor park and pools on a drop-in or membership basis, pet owners must complete an application, provide vaccination records, and take their dogs in for a temperament evaluation.
