Presidents' Day Celebration To Debut New Interactive Exhibit At Naper Settlement
The "We the People: Naperville and the American Story" exhibit features artifacts and stories in honor of the upcoming bisesquicentennial.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naper Settlement will give visitors a first look at their new "We the People: Naperville and the American Story" as part of a day-long celebration on Presidents' Day, Feb. 16.
The interactive exhibit, part of Naper Settlement's ongoing celebration of the 250th anniversary of the singing of the Declaration of Independence, features historical artifacts, photos and stories shared by local residents.
During the Presidents' Day Celebration, there will be hourly readings of the Declaration of Independence by the 16th Artillery.

The Illinois Humanities Council will present “Community Conversations: History Belongs to All of Us," which delves further into local history and the United States's founding.
Visitors can also take part in a fictional version of George Washington's spy network, play with an Electroscope to learn about electricity and make their own patriotic pinwheel.

Demonstrations will be performed in the settlement's schoolhouse, blacksmith shop and print shop.
