Naperville Ribfest Fireworks Rescheduled For Thursday
Pitbull and fireworks. What more could you ask for?

NAPERVILLE, IL — If you were bummed to miss out on the Naperville Ribfest fireworks due to storms on Fourth of July, don't worry. The Ribfest fireworks show has been rescheduled for 10 p.m. Thursday, a day after the annual fest was evacuated early due to severe weather, according to a post on the Naperville Ribfest Facebook page.
The rescheduled display will take place just after Pitbull's performance.
Officials in Naperville temporarily closed Ribfest early Wednesday evening as storms approached the park. The fest then reopened around 7:40 p.m.

As more storm clouds gathered, organizers made the call to cancel fireworks and evacuate Knoch Park just in time for festival goers to escape a downpour.
Thursday's fireworks will end a big day at Ribfest: they'll kick off just after a much-anticipated performance by rapper Pitbull.
