Robber Implied She Had Gun to Take Man's Phone, Cash: Police

The woman was described as being in her early 30s and Hispanic.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Police Department is seeking information about a woman who implied she had a gun in order to rob a man of his money and phone.

According to Naperville Police Commander Jason Arres, the robbery occurred in the parking lot of the Burlington Coat Factory in the Naper West Plaza at around 6:41 p.m. Thursday, April 28.

While the woman didn’t actually display a gun, she made it seem as if she had one, Arres said. The woman was described as being in her early 30s and Hispanic.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
