Bomb Threat At Naperville Central Delays Dismissal Monday

Dismissal was delayed "out of an abundance of caution," according to a school district official.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Authorities were responding Monday afternoon to a bomb threat at Naperville Central High School, according to officials.

The school received the threat Monday afternoon, according to District 203 Director of Communications LeeAnn Betz. Naperville police responded to the school around 2 p.m., Linda LaCloche, communications director for the city manager's office, said in an email.

Dismissal was delayed "out of an abundance of caution," according to Betz. As of about 3:45 p.m., officers remained on scene, LaCloche said.

"Students and staff are safe and supervised, and the investigation is ongoing," Betz said in an email to Patch.
