See 'World's Largest Cocktail Shaker' At Naperville Ribfest

It may look like a giant cement mixer, but the Monkey Mixer cocktail shaker can churn out the equivalent of 12,000 bottles of whiskey.

NAPERVILLE, IL — If you're headed to Naperville Ribfest this weekend, be on the lookout for something that's pretty out of the ordinary —a 27-foot long cocktail shaker that looks like a cement truck. Yes, you read that right. Monkey Shoulder Whiskey will grace Naperville Ribfest with the "World's Largest Cocktail Mixer," which comes complete with a 2,000-watt sound system.

It takes a 5,000-watt commercial generator to power the shaker, which is affectionately called the Monkey Mixer. According to Monkey Shoulder, the mixer can shake up the equivalent of 12,000 bottles of their scotch malt whiskey.

  • 27 feet long, 13 feet tall, 8 feet wide
  • Two 500-watt JL audio amplifier
  • One 500-watt JL audio amplifier
  • One 1000 watt JL audio amplifier
  • One 7.77” JL audio midrange speakers
  • Two 13” JL audio subwoofers
  • One 18” Dayton audio subwoofer

Aaaand it makes mixed drinks. If you're wondering how the giant cocktail shaker gets mixed drinks into glasses, it's easier than you might imagine: there's a tap handle on the back of the mixer to pour drinks individually.

Monkey Shoulder is known for its scotch malt whiskey, which they will use to make craft cocktails in the mixer until Ribfest comes to a close.
