Small Business Week to help businesses grow

Naperville Public Library will salute small businesses throughout the area during its Small Business Week May 11 through May 14.

Naperville Public Library will salute small businesses throughout the area during its Small Business Week May 11 through May 14.

Several programs focusing on business growth and networking will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. throughout the week at Nichols Library, 200 W. Jefferson Ave. Business owners will learn the basic approaches to writing a business plan and using library resources Monday, May 11. During the Tuesday, May 12 program Networking for Business Owners, businesses can understand the ins and outs of networking and how to apply a networking strategy in a business. On Wednesday, May 13, the program Web Design, Optimization and Online Marketing will teach businesses how to create an online business profile to increase search engine optimization and sales. On Thursday, May 14, Gary Grottke, a local business owner, entrepreneur and author, will present What it Takes to be an Entrepreneur. Attendees will learn about planning, funding, formation, partnership, employee building, budgeting and forecasting as well as website development and other administrative issues.
