Spikeball donation to benefit Naperville Park District camps

Spikeball employee Scott Palmer donates 12 sets of the popular game

Naperville resident Scott Palmer, head of operations at Chicago-based Spikeball, Inc., recently donated 12 sets of the Spikeball game to the Naperville Park District.

Spikeball, or roundnet, is a game that combines elements of volleyball and foursquare and is played two against two by ricocheting a small ball onto a round net. An ideal game for vacations, parties, youth groups, and corporate picnics, the game also has developed as a sport, with more than 200 tournaments taking place worldwide each year.

“We appreciate the donation of these Spikeball sets,” said Executive Director Ray McGury. “We plan to put them to use in our summer day camps as another way for kids to have fun while getting great exercise.”
