Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses Open for the Season Mar. 20
Driving Ranges Open Now at Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses

Friday, March 20 is the first day of spring and also opening day for the 2015 golf season at Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses.
“We are very pleased to see that both courses emerged from the winter in very good shape, without the winter damage seen in previous years,” said Kevin Carlson, Superintendent of Golf for the Naperville Park District. “The recent warm weather has allowed the ground to dry out, and our staff has been busy getting the courses ready for play. In fact, conditions are good enough we were able to mow greens, and we will allow riding carts at both courses,” Carlson explained.
Spring golf discount rates will be in effect from opening day until the regular season begins—usually in mid-April, depending on the weather. Driving ranges already are open at both courses.
The new Brooks Golf Training Center also is up and running at Springbrook Golf Course, offering golf fitness training by National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) certified trainer Todd Russell, who also is PGA golf professional. An open house event for this new facility is planned for Saturday, April 25 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. The public is invited to stop in during the open house to learn more about this unique, new center. Guests will be able to try out the equipment, request a fitness demonstration, enjoy refreshments and enter to win two individual training sessions with NASM-certified trainer, Todd Russell.
Registration is now underway for the first tournament of the season, the annual Partner Best Ball Challenge, held at Naperbrook Golf Course on April 11. Deadline to register is April 5.
Registration for tournaments, leagues, lessons or tee times is available online at www.golfnaperville.org.
