Naperville Park District plans to install mainline drainage system at Springbrook Golf Course beginning in early September 2021. The drainage improvements are the first phase of a two-year improvement project at the golf course. In phase 1 this fall, large drain tiles will be trenched in to help drain the problem areas, and new drainage basins will be installed to provide drainage for new features to be constructed in 2022. Phase 2 construction in 2022 will include the renovation of bunkers, green surrounds and tees.

Construction this fall will not require the course to be closed, but some holes may have to be adjusted temporarily to accommodate trenching and pipe installation. Construction will take place Monday – Friday only, and will be limited to one hole each day.

“Weather permitting, construction should take 8-12 weeks and will be completed in late fall of 2021,” said Director of Golf Kevin Carlson. “We expect that impact to the course and daily play will be minimal.”
