A secular, diverse, college prep, alternative learning community focusing on critical thinking, collaboration, communication and creativity for students elementary through high school (full-time, part-time or hybrid). We emphasize critical thinking, communication and collaboration skills across all levels. We have three levels of mixed-aged small cohorts that allow for differentiation that ensures all students are stretched without being stressed. We are college-prep without college pressure. Meatheads kicks off its 5th annual Voracious Reading Program on June 1st. The program runs until late August and encourages kids to read books during the summer to stay sharp. Students must read 5 books to earn a reward of one little Meatheads burger. Students can print out a certificate at <a href="http://www.meatheadsburgers.com" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">www.meatheadsburgers.com</a>. A parent or guardian signature is required for each award. Last summer more than 125,000 kids participated in The Voracious Reading program, and this year the program is hoping to reach 150,000 kids through local schools and libraries near all 16 Meatheads locations in Chicagoland and Indiana.
