Structure Fire In 100 Block Of Testa Drive In Naperville

The Naperville Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Naperville Police Department.

NAPERVILLE, Ill. — At 10:36 a.m. on Monday, March 9, Naperville’s Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) received a 911 call for the report of a fire in a three-story multifamily residence located in the 100 block of Testa Drive. Naperville 911(PSAP) dispatched a general alarm assignment for the fire in the three-story multifamily structure. Twelve pieces of fire apparatus and 25 fire personnel responded to the scene.

The first fire unit arrived on the scene at 10:38 a.m. and reported nothing showing from the multifamily structure. After further investigation, a small fire was located in the interior of the second-floor bedroom of the three-story multifamily structure. The fire was quickly extinguished, a complete search of the building was conducted and salvage and overhaul operations were performed. An inspector from Naperville’s Transportation, Engineering and Development (TED) was also notified. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental and the second-floor unit was deemed habitable. All residents were cleared to return to their units.

The Naperville Fire Department was assisted on the scene by the Naperville Police Department. There were no reports of injuries to civilians or firefighters on the scene.
