Tree Knocks Power Line Into Siding, Ignites Fires In Naperville Home
The fire broke out in a home in the 900 block of Anne Road early Wednesday.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A tree fell and knocked a power line into a home in Naperville early Wednesday, igniting fires that caused thousands of dollars in damage.
Residents called the Naperville Fire Department around 4:30 a.m. to report a fire that they believed had been started by a bolt of lightning. Both occupants were able to get out of the home safely before fire crews arrived.
Firefighters got to the scene to find a tree had fallen and knocked the live power line into the aluminum siding on the house, which ignited "several small fires" in the home, a news release said.

Officials say the incident was caused by an early morning storm. No one was hurt in the blaze, which caused $20,000 to the home.
