Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses will host the annual Turkey Shoot golf tournament on Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21. Each shoot will consist of a field of up to ninety players—a total of eighteen fivesome teams. Registration opens on Saturday, November 13 starting at 8:00 a.m., either online at www.golfnaperville.org or in person at Naperbrook Golf Course, located at 22204 W. 111th St. in Plainfield.

The fun and the challenge of this tournament come from the unpredictability of the weather, the team camaraderie and the competition for the largest prize turkeys. Players also enjoy the opportunity to help others through the option of donating the cash value of their turkey to a worthy cause. This year, donations will go to Operation Support Our Troops-America, a nonprofit organization assisting military service men and women deployed overseas and supporting families who have lost a service member.

Jewel-Osco at 1759 West Ogden Avenue in Naperville is donating turkeys in support of this event, and FBC Remodel is the sponsor of the 2021 golf tournament series at Springbrook and Naperbrook Golf Courses.

“We are grateful to our sponsors for their support of this tournament,” said Golf Superintendent Kevin Carlson. “This event has become a tradition for many, and gives golfers a chance to finish a great golf season and kick off the holidays with the spirit of giving.”
