NAPERVILLE, IL — An unexpected Fish Fry cancellation at the Naperville VFW recently resulted in a surprise donation of more than 400 fish dinners to West Suburban Community Pantry (WSCP).

The fish fry was cancelled on March 9 due to low attendance. That left the Judd Kendall VFW Post with hundreds of dinners packed with fried fish, mashed potatoes, veggies and other goodies. With the help of Belgio's Catering, the post made sure the dinners will end up on the table for hundreds of clients at WSCP.

This marks the second year in a row the Judd Kendall VFW Post donated fish dinners to the pantry. In 2022, a COVID-related cancelation spurred another dinner donation.
