'Unfounded' School Threat Circulating On Social Media: Naperville Cops
Police say the threat to an "unnamed school" was not linked to any school or person in Naperville and has been seen throughout the U.S.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police said Thursday that a threat that was circulating online to an "unnamed school" has been deemed "unfounded" after an investigation and is not linked to anyone or any school in Naperville.
The announcement was made via a post around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday on the Naperville Police Department's Twitter page. Officials say a threat "using the exact same wording" has recently been seen throughout the United States.
Naperville police did not immediately respond to Patch's request for additional information.
