Veterans Park Parking Lot to Close Temporarily for Renovation
Parking lot to close from April 29-May 10
The Naperville Park District is planning to renovate the driveway apron and pavers at Veterans Park as part of several improvements in progress at the park this spring. The driveway work requires temporary closure of the parking lot from Thursday, April 29 to Monday, May 10. Signs will be posted at the park during this time.
Veterans Park, located at 303 E. Gartner Road, is a 14-acre park which Naperville Park District leases from the City of Naperville. The park features a plaza and a display of flags honoring veterans and provides parking, open space and access to the DuPage River Trail.
The 2021 improvements to the park include installation of new flagpoles and uplighting and renovation of the existing paver area and driveway apron. Replacement of the flagpoles began in February and the entire project is planned to be complete by Memorial Day.
