Watch James Holzhauer's Close Call On 'Jeopardy!'
He's less than $10K from the $2million mark now.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Going into Thursday's "Jeopardy!" game, it seemed like reigning James Holzhauer was certain to make history by breaking the $2 million mark for total winnings. Most opponents on "Jeopardy!" have been dumbfounded by Holzhauer's mastery of the game show, but Thursday's nail-biting game saw Holzhauer facing a challenge by another player that left audiences wondering about his fate during Final Jeopardy.
Holzhauer managed to eke out a win, putting him less than $10,000 from having won a total of $2 million during his impressive streak on "Jeopardy!"
Throughout his 26-day run on the show, Holzhauer has gone into most Final Jeopardy questions with such a wide lead over his opponents that the amount of his wager was inconsequential to whether he would win. During Thursday's game, though, Holzhauer had a harder time finding the Daily Doubles. At one point, his opponent, Nate, had amassed more than twice the "Jeopardy!" whiz's total.
