WEATHER: What's Ahead for the Weekend?
And a reminder: This is what 2 feet of snow looks like.

You’re in for a lovely weather weekend. And if that doesn’t qualify as good news, we don’t know what does. Just a few weeks ago, Jack Frost was still nipping at our noses and we were buried under almost two feet of snow. After the weekend warmth, a bit of a chill returns.
Here’s the official National Weather Service forecast for Chicago:
If you’ve enjoyed the milder weather this week, you’re in luck! The mild pattern will continue through Monday. Much cooler conditions can be expected near Lake Michigan on some of the days, including today, but Friday and Monday look good for the whole area to get in on the warmth. In fact, Monday has the potential to approach 70 degrees in spots, but at least solidly mid 60s is a good bet.

Seasonable conditions will return behind a cold front by St. Patrick’s Day, and then, signs do unfortunately point to the return of an unseasonably chilly pattern late next week through the end of the month.
Mainly dry conditions will also continue, with the main threat for light rain remaining mostly south of the Illinois and Kankakee Rivers Friday into Friday night.
