'WGN Morning News Block Party' To Close Streets In Naperville
Parking and traffic restrictions will be in effect starting Wednesday at 5 a.m.
NAPERVILLE, IL — The WGN Morning News Block Party Extravaganza will take over the streets of downtown Naperville early Friday, causing road closures that will impact morning rush hour traffic. City officials say road closures and restricted parking will be in effect from 5 a.m. Wednesday through the end of the block party on Friday.
Here's a look at which roads will be temporarily closed between Wednesday and Friday to accommodate the WGN Morning News Block Party Extravaganza:
- Jackson Avenue will be closed and parking will be limited from Eagle Street to Main Street.
- Webster will be closed from Jackson to Jefferson, with parking prohibited on either side of the street.
- The block party will also impact parking lots in downtown Naperville. The Riverview and Riverwalk lots will be closed starting at 2 a.m. Friday.
This year marks the 4th Annual WGN Morning News Extravaganza. The festivities kick off at 6 a.m. Friday and feature live music from The Strumbellas, a dunk tank and parade, plus appearances from several WGN television personalities.
