Work To Close Parts Of Van Buren Parking Deck Through November

Crews are set to start work April 3 on a multi-phase project that will intermittently close parts of the parking deck on Van Buren Avenue.

NAPERVILLE, IL — As we head into the warmer months, construction and maintenance projects are popping up throughout the city, including one that will temporarily close the parking deck on Van Buren Avenue.

The five-phase project is set to begin on April 3, as crews perform maintenance on structural parts of the parking deck's fifth level. Once that is complete, focus will shift to floor sealant, drains and other details on the fifth level.

After crews complete the fifth level, they will move down to the fourth level and so on. Each phase of work will close the affected level and the one below it for up to six weeks.

The bulk of the maintenance will be done Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the goal of affecting parking minimally during the weekends. It's expected that the project will wrap up by the end of November.
