Work To Close River Road Railroad Crossing In Naperville

Crews are expected to start working on the project at 9 a.m. Monday.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- Commuters in Naperville can expect delays starting Monday when maintenance work begins at the River Road railroad crossing. City officials say the work will require part of River Road to be completely closed to traffic as BNSF crews replace portions of track and lay new asphalt.

Maintenance work will begin at 9 a.m. on Nov. 26, according to a news release. During the road closure, motorists can take a detour via Ogden and Jefferson Avenues.

Businesses and routes in the immediate vicinity of the River Road crossing will remain open. The project is expected to wrap up by 10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29.
