14 COVID-Positive Inpatients At Silver Cross, 2 On Ventilators
Over the past week, there has been one coronavirus-related death at the hospital.
NEW LENOX, IL — Hospitalizations due to the coronavirus remain fairly low at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. Director Of Marketing and Community Relations Debra Robbins told Patch the hospital has 14 inpatients who have tested positive for the coronavirus, and another three patients under investigation.
All 17 remain in isolation.
Over the past week, there has been one coronavirus-related death at the hospital. There are also two COVID-positive patients on ventilators, Robbins said.

Will County remains at warning level from the Illinois Department of Public Health due to its test positivity rate and number of new cases. The county, which is part of region 7, was placed under additional restrictions on Aug. 26.
According to IDPH, the most recent data shows region 7's positivity rate has now fallen below 8 percent and is at 7.4 percent. The region has also had three days of hospital admission increases, with 34 percent of med/surg beds are available and 37 percent of ICU beds available.
