2 Drivers Busted For DUI: New Lenox Police Blotter
Also, one resident left keys in their unlocked car at night, Guess what happened.

NEW LENOX, IL - The New Lenox Police Department has been keeping an eye out for intoxicated motorists of late and two women were recently taken away in handcuffs after police say they were too drunk to be driving a motor vehicle. Here's a rundown of several police reports that were investigated in late December by New Lenox Police officers.
Christmas Day
At 2:30 p.m. an officer was dispatched to Terrence Drive in reference to a burglary complaint. The officer met with the complainant who advised that someone entered their unlocked and opened garage during a Christmas party at the residence on 12/24 and stole $200 worth of Christmas toys.

Dec. 26
- An officer was dispatched to the Brogan Drive in reference to an identity theft. The officer met with the complainant who advised that someone fraudulently used their personal information to obtain medical services at a facility out of state.
- An officer was dispatched to the NLPD in reference to an identity theft. The officer met with the complainant who advised that someone used their fraudulently used their personal information to open an account and obtain cable TV through WOW Cable.

An officer was dispatched to Jewel Osco, 475 Nelson Road, in reference to a retail theft. The officer met with the complainant who advised that someone stole several bottles of high end liquor from the store.
Dec. 28
- An officer was dispatched to Walmart for a retail theft. The officer met with the complainant who advised that four people entered the store and stole approximately $100 worth of alcohol, diapers and soda.
- An officer was dispatched to Piper Drive in reference to a stolen motor vehicle complaint. The officer met with the complainant who advised that someone stole their vehicle while it was parked on their driveway overnight. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys to the vehicle were inside. The vehicle was recovered approximately one week later in Chicago.
- An officer was dispatched to the Circle K on Nelson Road in reference to a retail theft. The officer met with the complainant who advised that someone entered the gas station and stole approximately $30 worth of Red Bull.
- An officer was dispatched to Honey Lane in reference to burglary to motor vehicle complaint. The officer met with the complainant who advised that someone entered their unlocked vehicle while it was parked on the driveway overnight and removed loose change.
- An officer was dispatched to Route 6 & Cedar Road in reference to a traffic crash at 10:07 p.m. The officer learned that the driver of one of the vehicles, Allison Perry, 32, of the 200 block of Cooper Street in New Lenox, was driving under the influence of alcohol. Perry was transported to the NLPD. Perry was charged with DUI. Perry posted bond and was released.
Dec. 29
An officer was dispatched to a single car crash at Laraway Road and Cardinal Drive at 10:39 p.m. The officer learned that the driver of the vehicle, Roberta Sams, 31, of the 100 block of Nelson Road apartments, New Lenox , was driving under the influence of alcohol. Sams was arrested for DUI. Sams posted bond and was released.
