90 Grams of Pot Found in Car: Cops

New Lenox police arrested two people for manufacture/delivery of cannabis after a stop on Nelson Road last week.

NEW LENOX, IL -- A pair of motorists in New Lenox were arrested last week when police said they found about 90 grams of cannabis in their car.

New Lenox police stopped a vehicle they say committed a traffic offense at 12:42 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10 at Nelson Road and Haven Avenue in New Lenox. The car was occupied by two people, a 26-year-old man from Frankfort who was driving and a 27-year-old woman from New Lenox who was the passenger.

The driver was charged with failure to signal, disobeyed traffic control device, operating uninsured motor vehicle, possession of drug equipment, possession of cannabis and manufacture/delivery of cannabis over 30 grams.

The passenger was charged with possession of cannabis and manufacture-delivery of cannabis.

They were both transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
