New Lenox was picked as the host site due to its location in the central Midwest and within the Chicago region. The Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville also cited the quality and convenience of the police department facilities at the apex of two major interstate systems, the safe community, and the accessibility of amenities both in and around New Lenox as motives to host the training here.
"We are honored to host our international guests and look forward to the partnerships this training and teamwork will foster," the New Lenox Police Department announced.
