American Legion To Host Bags Tourney Fundraiser For Warriors Walk
Double Bean Bag Tournament on July 26 will raise funds for the upcoming Warriors Walk.

Warriors Walk is an annual event in New Lenox that works to raise awareness and funding to prevent suicides by military members and Veterans. The "ruck march" is an event that brings military vets together with family and supporters to call awareness to the average of 22 Veteran suicides each day. The event also raises money to provide counselling and therapy sessions to those who may be in crisis or in need of preventive coping therapy.
Thomas E, Hartung American Legion Post is a "managing partner" on the Warriors Walk executive board and will host a fundraiser on July 26 to raise money for the upcoming event and the therapy services it helps provide. On Saturday, July 26 at noon the "bean bag" or as it is known in some parts of the country "cornhole" players will begin the playing the first round championship. If noon is too early of start time for you, don't worry—you can always play in the second round championship. You do not need to be a bags superstar, the event is open to all skill levels and is attended for fun. Food, beverages and raffles will be available on site. You do not need to register in advance registrations and bracket selection will be on site.
American Legion Post 1977 is located at 14414 Ford, New Lenox IL and is open to the general public.
