American Legion Post 1977 Collecting Blankets For Hurricane Victims

Tennessee hurricane victims urgently in need of blankets and sleeping bags.

Although it was several months ago many victims of Hurricane Helene are still living in tents and vehicles waiting for home repairs. As the weather gets colder, blankets and sleeping bags re urgently needed.

New Lenox American Legion Post 1977 has once again partnered with American Legion Post 49, in Elizabethtown, TN to help fill this urgent need. If you would like to help, please bring a new blanket or sleeping bag to the American Legion Post 1977, 14414 Ford, New Lenox. Donations will be accepted until 10:00 pm, Thursday December 26th. The delivery truck is scheduled to depart the Post early Friday morning. Only new items will be accepted, and items in plastic bags are preferred.
