The Silver Cross Foundation is proud to announce a generous $560,000 donation from Childerguild, one of the hospital’s longest‑standing philanthropic partners. This transformational gift will directly support advanced technology, patient care equipment and clinical education benefiting women, infants and families across Silver Cross Hospital.
For more than 115 years, Childerguild has championed the health needs of women and children through its dedicated volunteer members, gift shop operations, community events and charitable giving. This year’s contribution—made possible through proceeds from the annual Childerguild Ball, gift shop sales and club donations—reflects the group’s unwavering commitment to enhancing patient care.

How the Gift Will Improve Patient Care
The $560,000 donation will fund essential equipment and education across several key service areas, including the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Clinic, Birthing Center, Center for Breast Health, Amy, Matthew and Jav Vana Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - NICU and Family Medicine/Urgent Care in Lemont.

·2 Fetal Monitoring Systems and 4 Advanced Ultrasound Machines and Disinfection Systems for Silver Cross’ new Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic
·Maternal & Neonatal Care Patient Simulator for the Silver Cross Birthing Center
·Continuing Education through the Association of Women’s Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
·AWHONN Monthly Fetal Monitoring Education through Simulation Tracing Reviews in the Birthing Center
·Breastfeeding Support Boppy Pillows for Birthing Center & NICU Patients
·2 Tranquility Mattresses for newborns with Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS) in the NICU
·D&C Suction Machine to treat various gynecological conditions, including abnormal uterine bleeding, incomplete miscarriage and uterine polyps
·Breast Ultrasound Machine for the Silver Coss Center for Breast Health
·X‑ray Machine for the Silver Cross Health Center and Urgent Care in Lemont
