During the interaction, the officer could smell raw cannabis coming from inside the vehicle. Two female passengers, identified as Kayla Skurkis, 28, and Cheyenne Flanagan, 24, both of Joliet, were identified as having active arrest warrants.

A search of Skurkis turned up a small clear bag of white powder, which later field-tested positive for the presence of cocaine.

A search of Flanagan and her belongings yielded numerous glass pipes with burnt residue. Skurkis and Flanagan were taken into custody and transported to the New Lenox Police Department.

Both were charged with possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Will County Jail.
