Man Steals $3,000 In Merchandise From Lowe's Over Multiple Visits: New Lenox PD

The Country Club Hills man was arrested after he had just stolen from the Bolingbrook location, while police were at the New Lenox one.

NEW LENOX, IL — A Country Club Hills man was charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing nearly $3,000 in goods over multiple visits to the New Lenox Lowe's store, according to police reports.

Police on July 22 were called to Lowe's, 2480 E. Lincoln Highway, in reference to multiple retail theft complaints.

The complainant was a retail crime investigator for Lowe's, who told police a man identified as Stevens Eliacin, 41, had entered the New Lenox store on three separate occasions and stolen merchandise totaling a value of $2,885, according to police reports.

While the officer was on scene, Lowe's received information that Eliacin was at the Bolingbrook Lowe's location.

The Bolingbrook Police Department responded and was able to take Eliacin into custody after committing a retail theft at the
Bolingbrook location.

Eliacin was transferred to the New Lenox Police Department, where he was processed and released.
