• Wilmington Man, 40, Made Threats Against NL American Legion Post, Charged With DUI: New Lenox Police (patch.com) — New Lenox residents may want to know that police say a 40-year-old Wilmington man allegedly made threats toward the Tom E. Hartung American Legion Post 1977 before driving away and being stopped nearby. Officers reported signs of alcohol impairment, arrested him on a DUI charge, and processed him at the New Lenox Police Department before releasing him.
   

• Woman Loses $1,500 In Kitten Sale Scam: New Lenox Police Reports (patch.com) — A New Lenox woman is out more than $1,500 after responding on Facebook to someone claiming to sell the specific kitten breed she wanted. Police say she paid through Bitcoin and Apple gift cards for the kitten, crate, and delivery, but nothing ever arrived, and the case remains under review by New Lenox officers.
