Know Before You Go: Blue Öyster Cult Comes To New Lenox, Tickets Still Available

The next show in the New Lenox Summer Concert Series is set for Saturday, Aug. 29.

NEW LENOX, IL — The next act in New Lenox's Summer Concert Series takes to the stage Saturday at the Performing Arts Pavilion.

Blue Öyster Cult is set to perform Saturday, Aug. 29, with opening acts Dave Hill and Hillbilly Vegas. The show is the second-to-last for the summer, with The Who's Roger Daltrey closing out the series on Sept. 12. Tickets remain for both shows and can be purchased online. Tickets for Blue Öyster Cult are $45; tickets for Roger Daltrey are $90.

Blue Öyster Cult was founded in the late '60s with members Eric Bloom (vocals, stun guitar), Donald "Buck Dharma" Roeser (lead guitar, vocals), Allen Lanier (keyboards, guitar), and rhythm section brothers Joe Bouchard (bass, vocals) and Albert Bouchard (drums, vocals). They're known for hits including "(Don't Fear) The Reaper" and "Burnin' For You."

Hill is a comedian, writer, musician, actor, radio host, and man-about-town originally from Cleveland, Ohio.

Hillbilly Vegas is a high-energy southern rock band from Oklahoma that blends "hard rock energy, country swagger, and arena-ready hooks," according to The Riff Report.

Food and Drink

Food and beverages, including beer and hard seltzer, will be available for sale in the venue. Patrons must be at least 21 years of age to purchase alcohol. Drink tickets, which are available for sale on site, must be used for all alcohol purchases. Each drink ticket will cost $6 (one ticket = one beverage), and beer ticket sales are CASH ONLY. Drink tickets are only valid at the concert at which they are purchased.

During the Summer Concert Series, local restaurants are invited to set up booths to sell food to guests. No food or beverage may be carried into the venue.
