NEW LENOX, IL — The Village of New Lenox invites residents and members of the community to join a special 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony on Friday, Sept. 11, at 12 p.m. at the Firefighters Memorial in the Village Commons, across from Trinity Services.
As the nation marks a quarter-century since the tragic events of Sept. 11, 2001, the ceremony will provide an opportunity for remembrance. As part of the event, the Village of New Lenox will also conduct a street naming ceremony in honor of Air Force Veteran Sgt. (RET) Israel Del Toro, recognizing his extraordinary service. Del Toro, a retired Technical Sergeant and decorated combat veteran, embodies the courage and commitment displayed by the men and women who have served our nation in the years since the attacks.
