• Heavy Police Presence In New Lenox, Authorities Ask Public To Avoid Area (patch.com) — New Lenox residents are being urged to steer clear of the 2300 block of Alta Vista Drive after police reported a heavy law enforcement presence there Sunday evening. While officers say there is no broader threat to the community, they are asking people to avoid the area until further notice and are promising updates as more information becomes available.
