The driver of the second vehicle was transported to Silver Cross Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

There were no passengers in either vehicle, police said.

The intersection and surrounding area were closed until approximately 4 a.m. Thursday. A multi-jurisdictional team is working collaboratively to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash, New Lenox Police Chief Micah Nuesse said.
