Annual Shred Day A Success

Another successful Shred Day is in the books. The annual event, hosted by Kevin Molloy State Farm Insurance, Gina’s Tear Drop Café, and Pizza Mia, was held Sat. June 2 at the parking area at Laraway Ridge Plaza. With identity theft and consumer fraud on the rise, events like this benefit community members.

Shred X provided the shredding services, so people who brought their personal information were able to see it shredded on site, giving them peace of mind. It is recommended that all documents containing financial information, personal information, junk mail and children’s school related documents should be shredded. That adds up to a lot of paper, typically much more than a small shredder can handle.

“Our annual shredding event is designed to protect people from identity theft and fraud by providing an opportunity for them to shred personal documents on site,” Kevin Molloy said. The entire staff of Kevin Molloy State Farm supports the annual event.

This is one example of how Kevin Molloy and his staff give back to the community. The next event will be held for the Veterans on Monday June 25th from 6:30-8:00am at Gina’s Teardrop Café located at 828 W Laraway Rd in New Lenox, IL. All Veterans are welcome to join us for a free breakfast as our way of honoring our heroes.
