Armed Robbery At 7-Eleven In New Lenox: Cops

NEW LENOX, IL - Around 5 a.m. on Saturday, a masked gunman walked into a 7-Eleven store in New Lenox where he stole cash from the cashier as well as cigarettes. The robber got away before police arrived, according to the New Lenox Police Department. New Lenox Police took to social on Saturday urging their followers to call their police tip line at 815-462-6111 if people saw anything suspicious in the area. The crime happened inside the 7-Eleven store at Route 30 and Cedar Road.

According to New Lenox Police, a man wearing all black clothing and a black mask displayed a gun and ordered the clerk to give him money and cigarettes. Police said nobody in the store was injured during the robbery, but the bandit got away.
