An ABC-7 investigation shows a video of a 6-year-old girl slapped by bus aide in New Lenox.

NEW LENOX, IL — The parents of an autistic 6-year-old girl in New Lenox School District 122 are furious after they were shown a video of their daughter being slapped in the face twice by a bus aide on a school bus. An ABC-7 report released Friday includes a video that shows the girl allegedly slapped on a bus that appeared to not include any other students.

"My blood boils," Nicholas Rushing, the girl's father, told ABC. "I think about it and it just makes me mad. She shouldn't have to go through that."

Rushing explained that her daughter is non-verbal and has been visibly impacted by the alleged incident.
