Banned Couple Cannot Resist Lure of New Lenox Walmart: Police

A Joliet woman and an Orland Park man banned from the New Lenox Walmart just couldn’t resist the superstore’s siren song, police said.

Kristopher Latona, 36, and Justina Schirmer, 27, were allegedly caught inside the Walmart despite being ordered to stay away.

An officer was sent to the Walmart shortly before 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to look into a report that people were trespassing.

“The officer learned from the complainant that Latona and Schirmer were on Walmart property and (had) been previously banned from the store,” police said.

Latona and Schirmer were released after they posted bond.
