New Lenox Township's 24th Annual Clean-Up Day is schedule for May 4. The event is sponsored by New Lenox Township.

The 24th Annual New Lenox Township Clean-Up Day is May 4. The service is offered for both residents within the village and unincorporated areas.

New Lenox Township officials are proud to provide this service. It's part of their commitment to the environment. There is no additional cost for the service. 

There will be a curbside pick up of most large household items such as furniture, carpet, bedding, appliances, and small amounts of building material placed in containers. Just set your items on the curb as you would on your normal trash pick up day.

Collection is from 6 a.m. till noon. In order to ensure pick up, place your items at the curb before 6 a.m. For additional information, please call the New Lenox Township Offices at 815-485-6431 or visit the website.

New Lenox Township Accepts On-Site Drop Off

At the township's recycling center, 1100 S. Cedar Road, residents with proof of residency can drop off:

  • Used motor oil
  • Anti-freeze
  • Used tires (limit four per household) from cars or light trucks (no large truck or tractor tires)
  • Used automotive batteries
  • Used electronics, such as televisions, computers, keyboards, monitors and microwaves
  • Traditional recyclables, such as paper, glass, plastics, aluminum, tin and cardboard

 

The recycling center will not accept: household chemicals, smoke detectors, oil-based products, fluorescent light bulbs, stains and varnishes, propane bottles, aerosols, pressurized containers or any hazardous material.     

New Lenox Township's Planned Household Hazardous Waste Collection

A household hazardous waste collection is planned for Sept. 14 at Spencer Trail Campus, 1701 Spencer Road. The program is operated in collaboration with the upcoming, village-wide 2013 ShareFest campaign and the Will County Land Use Department.
